Cowls - A Sarah Pattern

Here are a couple (of the many) seed stitch cowls that I have knit in the past few years.  They are quick and easy, and make for wonderful gifts.

I apologize that these are not the best pictures and that none are pictured on a model - these pictures were for me, before I had decided to share them with you!

I cannot remember the exact pattern specifications that I decided on but I do remember a few things.  These cowls took about 2 skeins of Cascade 220 and I cast on about 125 stitches on size 10 needles (always an odd number of stitches).

The great thing about cowls are that you can modify the pattern for any differences you want to see - bigger yarn and bigger needles yield a chunkier scarf around your neck, and the less stitches and thinner the yarn, the more delicate the outcome.
